Dr. Thanh Nguyen, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries.

Dr. Nguyen graduated with distinction as an Echols Scholar with a double major in Biology and Psychology from the University of Virginia. She then earned her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School, where she also interned in the Department of Internal Medicine. After her internship, Dr. Nguyen completed her residency at SUNY Downstate Health and Sciences University where she served as chief resident during her last year of training.

Dr. Nguyen is a recipient of numerous honors and awards, and she has been published in multiple medical journals and presentations. Dr. Nguyen is also a member of the American Association of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery

Dr. Nguyen enjoys traveling and exploring different cultures through art, music, and food. She cherishes time with her family — her husband, daughter, and their beloved 12-year-old golden retriever. The family recently welcomed a new addition — a baby boy who has already stolen everyone's hearts.
